Automation Engineer
Job description
Experience Requirements 7+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing and quality assurance Proven track record developing and maintaining test automation scripts for web, API, and mobile applications include Framework enhancements Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Java, Appium, Rest Assured, Cucumber, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins, and JIRA in a collaborative team environment Solid experience integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines Working knowledge of SQL for database validation and test data management Demonstrated success executing automated testing within Agile/Scrum development cycles Practical experience using AI tools to support day-to-day testing activities Alternative pathway: extensive manual testing experience combined with strong, demonstrable automation skills development Domain experience in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) — — strongly preferred Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web, API, mobile, and database testing Perform functional, regression, API, and mobile testing to ensure system quality and stability Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and log defects with clear, actionable detail Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate closely with developers to drive timely resolution Review test cases and automation coverage, recommending improvements for stronger, more comprehensive testing Own and evolve framework architecture, ensuring scalability as the product and team grow Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand features, requirements, and acceptance criteria Actively participate in Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives Maintain thorough testing documentation, including test plans, scripts, defect reports, and test metrics Mentor junior QA engineers and support code reviews for automation scripts Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging automation tools, frameworks, and best practices Leverage AI tools as part of daily testing activities (e.g., test case generation, script optimization, defect analysis, documentation) — this is a mandatory expectation of the role
