AWS Platform Engineer (Healthcare Domain)
Job description
We are seeking a skilled AWS Platform Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for our healthcare systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, along with hands-on experience in Bitbucket Pipelines for CI/CD automation. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure high availability, compliance, and performance of cloud platforms while adhering to healthcare regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform (IaC) Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines for automated deployments Ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and highly available Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues Implement best practices for cloud security and compliance (HIPAA or healthcare standards preferred) Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to streamline deployment processes Manage infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and version control Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization Maintain documentation for infrastructure and deployment processes
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.) Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Experience in Bitbucket Pipelines for CI/CD automation Good understanding of DevOps practices and cloud architecture Strong scripting skills (Python / Bash preferred) Experience with version control systems like Git Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancers, Security Groups) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
Experience working in the Healthcare domain (HIPAA compliance, PHI data handling) Exposure to containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer)
