Business Analyst / Data Analyst
Job description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst / Data Analyst with a strong background in the Healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SQL, data mapping, and requirements gathering, with the ability to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role requires someone who can analyze healthcare data, understand business needs, and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
Key responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders Perform data analysis using SQL to extract, validate, and interpret healthcare data Create and maintain data mapping documents (source-to-target mappings) Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements Work on data validation, data quality checks, and reconciliation Prepare BRD, FRD, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement discussions Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure successful delivery Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (HIPAA, PHI handling)
Requirements
Strong experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in the Healthcare domain Advanced proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, aggregations, performance tuning basics) Hands-on experience in data mapping and data transformation logic Strong expertise in requirements gathering and documentation Experience with data analysis, validation, and reporting Good understanding of SDLC / Agile methodologies Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications
Experience with healthcare standards like HL7, FHIR, EHR/EMR systems Familiarity with tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau Exposure to ETL processes and data warehousing concepts Knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence
