Modify and maintain existing native Windows applications and related generation or validation tools. Develop and extend Windows-based desktop applications using Qt.
Requirements
Legacy C/C++ and Windows Application Engineering Modify and maintain existing native Windows applications and related generation or validation tools. Required capabilities include modern and legacy C/C++, Windows debugging, safe memory and resource handling, binary parsing, compatibility analysis, and disciplined change-impact assessment in established codebases. Qt Desktop Application Development Develop and extend Windows-based desktop applications using Qt. Engineers must understand application structure, user-interface behavior, packaging and licensing constraints, customer-facing releases, and multiple implementation variants with limited code reuse. OpenGL Rendering and Graphical Validation Implement or modify OpenGL-based rendering and display behavior. This requires specialist graphics knowledge because graphical components may provide limited reuse and require substantial human review and manual visual validation. Binary Formats, Database Images, and A665-3 Processing Implement and verify decoding, image creation, partition generation, metadata, manifests, binary-data writing, and standards-based packaging or conversion behavior. Engineers must preserve proprietary formats, safely process large binary content, and validate reconstructed or decoded output against approved expected results. Native Testing, Tool Qualification, and Release Evidence Create native unit and integration tests, test harnesses, comparison tools, and controlled test data while preserving required manual display checks. Engineers must support code review, traceability, cybersecurity updates, configuration control, tool qualification artifacts, witnessed testing, regression testing, and controlled releases.
