Jr Software Tester
Job description
We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Tester to join our dynamic software development team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing processes. You will work closely with developers and project managers to identify issues, document test results, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing methodologies. Key responsibilities
Execute test plans and test cases to validate software functionality Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools Collaborate with developers and project teams to understand software requirements Participate in test planning and design of test cases Conduct regression testing to ensure resolved defects do not reoccur Assist in the development and maintenance of test documentation Contribute to process improvements in testing methodologies
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Basic understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) Ability to write clear and concise test cases and documentation Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
Experience with automated testing tools is a plus Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is advantageous Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Experience in a software development or testing internship Understanding of database management and SQL Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus Strong problem-solving skills
