Jr Software Tester
Job description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Tester to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing processes. You will work closely with developers and product managers to identify issues and verify that solutions meet our high standards before release. As a Junior Software Tester, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive environment while contributing to the overall success of our software development lifecycle. You will gain hands-on experience with various testing methodologies and tools, and play a crucial role in delivering reliable and user-friendly software to our clients.
Key responsibilities
Execute test cases and document results Identify, report, and track software defects Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software functionality Assist in the development and maintenance of test plans and test cases Conduct regression and performance testing as needed Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software testing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Basic understanding of software development processes Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium or JIRA Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Qualifications
Experience with manual testing and automated testing frameworks Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python Familiarity with Agile methodologies Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Experience with SQL and database testing Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus
