Key responsibilities
Design and execute detailed test cases based on software requirements. Report and track defects using industry-standard bug tracking tools. Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand application features and workflows. Perform regression testing and validate fixes to ensure issues are resolved. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback on usability. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency. Document test results and maintain testing artifacts for future reference.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Proven experience in manual testing of software applications. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies. Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications
Experience with test automation tools is a plus. Knowledge of SQL and database testing techniques. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Certifications like ISTQB or equivalent are preferred. Experience in performance and security testing is a bonus. Understanding of web and mobile application testing.
