Job description
We are seeking a skilled PL/SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex database solutions that meet our business needs. You will work closely with analysts and project managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. As a PL/SQL Developer, you will also be involved in optimizing existing PL/SQL code, implementing data management strategies, and maintaining documentation of database processes. Your expertise in PL/SQL will be crucial in driving projects forward and improving our data infrastructure, ultimately contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL applications. Optimize existing PL/SQL code for performance improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements. Create and maintain database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and procedures. Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner. Document database design, processes, and procedures for future reference.
Requirements
Proven experience in PL/SQL development. Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL. Experience with Oracle Database. Ability to write complex queries and stored procedures. Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques. Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles. Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience in a financial or large-scale enterprise environment. Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Java or Python. Knowledge of ETL tools and processes. Understanding of Agile development methodologies. Experience with cloud database solutions.
