Power BI Developer
Job description
We are looking for a skilled Power BI Developer with experience in the Healthcare domain to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, DAX, SQL, and a solid understanding of healthcare data standards. This role requires the ability to transform complex healthcare data into meaningful insights that support clinical and business decision-making.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports Create efficient data models and optimize report performance Write complex DAX calculations and measures Extract, transform, and analyze data using SQL Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements Ensure data accuracy, validation, and consistency across reports Integrate data from multiple sources (EHR/EMR systems, APIs, databases) Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance best practices Support UAT and report enhancements based on feedback Maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, and processes
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience in Power BI (Desktop & Service) Expertise in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling Advanced SQL skills (joins, CTEs, performance tuning basics) Experience in building interactive dashboards and visualizations Good understanding of data warehousing concepts Strong experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder communication Knowledge of data validation and data quality checks
Qualifications
Experience in the Healthcare domain (claims, EHR/EMR, patient data, clinical datasets) Familiarity with healthcare standards like HL7, FHIR Experience with tools like Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks Knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelines Exposure to Python or R for data analysis (optional)
