Production Support Associate
Job description
We are looking for a Production Support Engineer to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of critical production systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in monitoring batch jobs and applications, troubleshooting incidents, automating support tasks using Python, and working in a Linux environment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, on-call production support setup.
Key responsibilities
• Monitor production jobs and batch processes to ensure successful execution • Investigate and troubleshoot job failures, system errors, and performance issues • Write and maintain Python scripts for automation, monitoring, and log analysis • Perform basic Linux System Administration tasks including log review, file management, and process monitoring • Document incidents, root causes, and resolutions in the ticketing system • Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 support or relevant teams with clear documentation • Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to identify recurring issues and implement permanent fixes • Maintain and update runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base articles
Requirements
• Experience in Production Support / Application Support roles • Strong troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to incident management • Hands-on experience with Python scripting for automation and operational support • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems • Familiarity with batch job monitoring, logs, and ticketing tools • Good documentation and communication skills • Ability to work independently and handle production pressure
