QA Engineer
Job description
We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will take ownership of features and projects, contributing your insights to design decisions and helping to enhance our testing processes. As a Mid-Level QA Engineer, you will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and share your knowledge of best practices in quality assurance. Your expertise will be vital in driving improvements in our testing methodologies and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality before they reach our customers.
Key responsibilities
Own the testing of features and projects from inception to completion Mentor junior QA engineers and provide guidance on best practices Participate in design and architectural discussions to influence testing strategies Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution Collaborate with developers and product managers to optimize testing processes Continuously evaluate and improve testing tools and methodologies
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality software Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in manual and automated testing techniques Some leadership experience, especially in mentoring others Experience with performance and load testing tools Knowledge of scripting languages for test automation Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and practices Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles Experience with version control systems such as Git
